About Mano A Mano Art Shows

Support the Arts and the Artists who feed the Creativity in Atlanta. Mano A Mano encourage artistic expression by providing a forum for art dialogue for artists & art aficionados.

Your donation will go towards materials and costs associated with organizing the group artshows in Atlanta.
Every little bit helps. Thank you.

Started in 2008 with a simple premise; the best in art with the best in music while accessing venues not usually open to artists.
Mano A Mano Art Shows recognizes that Music and Art go hand in hand as our logo illustrates that point with a hand on a record and a hand with a pencil.

Our shows feature dozens of artists of various disciplines all focused on a single theme.

Throughout the night DJ Osmose will spin some awesome music while art lovers browse the art on the walls and interact with the actual artists. A couple times an hour we will do artist interviews on stage to give everyone an inside look into the creative process of the artists.

We also feature drawing contest which we call Pencil Wars. We pass out small paper cards and pencils and have an all out pencil drawing contest with a winner decided by majority crowd vote.
In 2011 Mano A Mano Art Shows are focused in giving back to the human community. Charity involvement in our shows allow us to donate some of the proceeds of our art sales to help those in need.

Feed The People
does exactly that, Feed people who are hungry and homeless. They have an ongoing National feed the people program in effect right now that they’ve worked on for the past three years. You can find more info athttp://ftpmovement.tumblr.com

The Action Not Words Project supports various causes internationally. They support local food and garden projects; internationally they support housing for homeless families as well as feeding less fortunate communities. Community Teen Coalition is focused on empowering teens and the communities in which they live in through mentoring, education, intervention and other mental health services. Their mission is to empower and mobilize at-risk youth through entrepreneurial education, academic instruction, cultural enrichment, and provide necessary resources that will enable them to achieve social and academic success. http://www.ctc-inc.org

Shade of Liberia is focused on improving the lives of the people in West Africa. One of their projects involves developing sources of drinking water by building water wells. Water is a basic necessity for life and Mano A Mano supports the work of Shades of LIberia in making water available. On August 27, Resistance is Futile Art Show will donate 10% of art sales and 10% of door sales to Shades of Liberia. For more information on Shades of Liberia and their projects, please visit http://www.shadesofliberia.org

The venue was an awesome win for Mano A Mano Art Shows as Keelee Butler provides us with KSP/The Loft at Metropolitan Lofts in the West End. The space is huge and we plan on filling it with art, models, djs and art lovers. For more on the venue, please search for KSP Event Space on FaceBook.

Mano A Mano Art Shows are very interactive and fun as the way art and music should be. What better way to expose the arts than with great music and an awesome atmosphere?
We love art, we love music and we love helping the human cause.
